The Colorado Digitization Project (CDP) illustrates the benefits of OBPE nicely . The CDP has grown from a consortium of Colorado libraries, museums, and archives that was awarded a small grant in 1999 to the current Collaborative Digitization Project including four other Western states, with a total of over $2.6 million in grants.
